Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an Mexican American reporter. She works as an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation occasionally. Her first job at ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since when she was nine years old. Her skills were instrumental in her landing her first position as production assistant at Univision Miami, where she was a producer of programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. It was the CBS affiliate of St. Petersburg hired her following this to become reporters for sports. She moved in 2009 into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become reporter for news on the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories related to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking along the Texas as well as the Mexico borders, she worked as a journalist on the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Also, she was a substitute anchors on sports and weather. Deportes 23 in Dallas, the Univision affiliate station for Dallas. The station was more work to do. The family moved towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November of 1985. She has an older sister. The family in 1992 quit Mexico and relocated to Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter in 1995. Her mother was remarried to one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. At the end of June 2006, she visited a week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed there. Antonietta who was in high school who had a vision of how she wanted her life to look like, came to Mount Union University to determine if the school suited her. The campus was a dream for her. They also offered her the college she had always wanted. She completed her schooling and received a scholarship to the University as a major in media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the manager of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a participant. He guided her to become confident in herself and his enthusiasm for journalism had a profound impact on her as did she. She determined to meet the expectations of him and not failed him.
